Color Swatches β Explore and Compare Palettes
Inked Calibri is built to handle color management efficiently, and Color Swatches are at the heart of that flexibility. They let you explore, compare, and revert color schemes visually β without losing structure or variable consistency.
Why Use Color Swatches
When experimenting with different palettes, itβs easy to forget what worked best. Color Swatches solve this by giving you a visual record of each color scheme, including all its shades and transparency levels.
Each swatch contains:
- Your full Realtime Color palette (Primary, Secondary, Accent, Text, Background)
- All generated shades and alpha variations
- A RealtimeColors.com URL printed on each artboard header, making rollback quick and easy
This ensures you can always restore any palette youβve explored β even after trying several variations.

Perfect for Brand Exploration
If you're refining a brand identity or hesitating between multiple palettes, Color Swatches make experimentation safe and structured.
- Generate multiple swatch sets side by side.
- Compare how each feels visually within your design system.
- Roll back to any previous version with a single click.
How It Works
- After generating a color scheme, open the Color Swatches section in Inked Colibri.
- Click Generate Swatches β the plugin creates a visual artboard in Figma with all related shades and alpha layers.
- Each swatch stores its own RealtimeColors.com URL reference.
- To revert, simply select a swatch and click Rollback Scheme. Your design variables instantly update to match that palette.
Result
Color exploration becomes non-destructive. You can test dozens of palette ideas, review them visually, and always return to any version you liked β keeping creativity flowing and your color system intact.
